Choir here at First Baptist is much more than singing on Sunday; it is a caring, praying, worshiping community of believers. While the primary focus of Wednesday rehearsals is preparing the anthem and other musical elements for the worship service, it is also an opportunity for fellowship and offering prayers for one another.

The Church Choir provides a musical message during our Sunday worship services through an anthem and provides leadership as they join with the congregation in singing the hymns of our faith. Special musical worship services are traditionally presented during the Christmas and Easter seasons. Providing music for neighboring churches when asked, joint projects with other church choirs, and taking music beyond the walls of the church are other activities of the past and projects for the future.

Made up of ordinary people like you, the Church Choir is always looking for people to join the song. Music reading skills and a “voice like an angel” are not required. A desire to use your voice and your gifts for God’s glory is all that is needed.

You have an invitation to come visit any Wednesday at 7:15 in the Choir Room on the main level of the church building, or join the fun at one of the choir’s pot luck dinners.
